Barabara Mc
Lean - artists and sculptor has worked in Victoria over 4 decades -
these peices are to be included in the August 2008
Sculptors at Kazari exhibition - Opens 14th August
2008
The variety
of images and statements in her sculptures are extensive. There are
works that have held the inherent qualities of either poetic
whimsy, humour or sensuality. There have been surreal and
provocative works and also the representational
portraits.
Her extensive
range of personal works in Bronze and other mixed medium
sculptures, complement the increasing number of public commissions,
both nationally and internationally, that have received such wide
acclaim in recent years.
McLean’s
twenty nine portraits of Australian Tennis champions in the
National Tennis Hall of Fame at Melbourne Park is the most
extensive collection of bronze portraits in Australia.
